It processes the original file, so make sure you don't forget the password. The new filename gets appended with the.encrypt extension and it's placed in the same location. In order to decrypt the item, all you have to do is select the file and specify the right key. There are no other notable settings provided by this tool.
Evaluation and conclusion
We haven't come across any stability issues in our testing, thanks to the fact that it didn't hang, crash or prompt error messages. Unsurprisingly, it left a small footprint on system resources, since it needed a low amount of CPU and RAM to work properly.
