firstly you say it drops to zero on idol, does that mean if you blip the throttle the oil pressure gauge will start to register, also when the gauge indicates nothing is the oil pressure light coming on, personally i think the best thing to do is get rid of the crappy electric oil pressure gauge, remove the oil pressure sender and fit a capilery oil sensor and gauge
